Protest for the exclusion of the Movie Library from the Cinema Bill
The archive of amateur audiovisual material “of the Anonymous”, with consistent presence in international conferences during the last eight years, and despite the material it has preserved, would not even dare dream to be included in the Bill. Therefore it only protests against the absence of the Movie Library from the Bill… Generally, in the last years in Greece, we are absent from each other. “Greece, I return within five minutes. Leave a note…”
With regards
Nikos Mitrogiannopoulos
Chairman of the company of the Anonymous
PS. Despite the fact that the Movie Library in statutory has not really been concerned with our own efforts, our support to its request to continue its work should be taken for granted. I want to remind you, however that in France for example, there are at least eight local film archives. The same goes for Germany too, etc. The matter is not only for each to save himself and his work, but to also consider what kind of archives we want. The most frustrating thing in the recent Bill, except the absence of the Movie Library, is the suspicion that every thought around the matter of archives is absent.
